The 50 Fund’s Playmakers program recognized the herculean efforts of community-based Bay Area nonprofits and the people who make those impacts possible.
Get inspired by their stories.

Our second Playmaker is Oakland native Kelly Carlisle, the founder of Acta Non Verba, an urban youth farm project. She was nominated for “changing the lives of the children in her care” by providing access to fresh food and empowering children to feed themselves through their work on the farm. Kelly is also a veteran of the United States Navy and has been honored by President Barack Obama for her dedication to her community.
