Our second Playmaker is Oakland native Kelly Carlisle, the founder of Acta Non Verba, an urban youth farm project. She was nominated for “changing the lives of the children in her care” by providing access to fresh food and empowering children to feed themselves through their work on the farm. Kelly is also a veteran of the United States Navy and has been honored by President Barack Obama for her dedication to her community.Watch Video
Our first playmaker is Beth Schmidt, executive director of Wishbone, who was nominated by her Board for being “a rare type of founder – one who is authentically motivated and fiercely committed to accomplishing Wishbone’s goal.” Beth has been honored by the World Economic Forum as a “Global Shaper” and is on the 2014 GOOD List of of top “people pushing the world forward through doing.” Congratulations Beth!Watch Video
