To enable fans to have an enhanced experience through the use of their own mobile devices, Extreme Networks and PCM, a trusted technology solutions provider, implemented temporary ExtremeWireless and ExtremeAnalytics solutions throughout Super Bowl City. PCM provided Wi-Fi support, services and hardware. Together, PCM’s Sports and Entertainment team and Extreme Networks helped to deliver the ultimate technology experience for mobile users in Super Bowl City.
Similar to how Peyton Manning needed Gary Kubiak and Cam Newton needed Ron Rivera, Extreme Networks helped to make sure fans had the proper coaching to achieve all their Wi-Fi & mobile app needs. As part of this program, over 100 certified onsite Wi-Fi Coaches helped fans with basic Wi-Fi connectivity, downloading fan enhancement apps and troubleshooting general device issues. This was be the second year in which Extreme Networks Certified Wi-Fi Coaches’ were involved with Game Week activities, and they were readily available and equipped to help attendees enjoy this signature experience.
“Throughout this process, we’ve looked to Extreme Networks and PCM to help make Super Bowl City run efficiently with leading wireless solutions,” said Keith Bruce, CEO and president of the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee. “Their expertise in deploying a reliable network and understanding how to support our temporary ‘city’ is crucial to create a memorable experience for the Bay Area and fans alike.”
