The Super Bowl 50 Host Committee has teamed up with official Sustainability Partner Klean Kanteen to launch the #BringYourOwn campaign, an initiative encouraging people to use reusable water bottles in order to reduce overall usage of plastic bottles. Not only is this initiative aimed at bringing awareness to the importance of sustainability in general, but it is also aimed at making Super Bowl 50 the first ‘net positive’ Super Bowl. Klean Kanteen is giving 5000 BPA free stainless steel water bottles to the Host Committee volunteers, and 5000 to members of the media.
This initiative will inspire a new conversation with fans around the elimination of single use bottles and waste in general. The #BringYourOwn campaign aims to set a standard for the immense sustainability that can be achieved even in a production as large-scale as Super Bowl 50.
Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle to Super Bowl City presented by Verizon; look for fill stations from FloWater and US Pure Water.
